We are delighted to host the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) Annual Conference once again in 2023 in the UK, this time in the wonderful Scottish capital city of Edinburgh. IUMI is unique in the world of marine and transport insurance, providing an essential international forum to discuss and exchange ideas of common interest and protecting and promoting the interests of its membership of national marine insurance associations.
IUMI’s members are dedicated to the expansion of global trade and the development of emerging markets.
The annual IUMI Conference is the largest international marine insurance forum and the cornerstone of all IUMI activities. It reflects the organisation’s vision “to be the influential and trusted voice of global marine insurance”, and its mission to consistently raise professional standards in marine insurance through the provision of:
- Timely and topical information
- Education, insight, and guidance
- Networking opportunities
- Effective lobbying
Through its global communications network, IUMI provides a platform from which the views of its members are disseminated to the marine and shipping industry, international organizations and media around the world.
The IUMI Annual Conference is the organisation’s hallmark event and is the world’s largest international ocean marine insurance forum. The Conference brings together the key decision-makers from within the international marine insurance and reinsurance markets, providing unique opportunities for business discussions and networking in both a formal and informal environment.
The Conference will be jointly hosted by the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) and the International Underwriting Association (IUA), working together to achieve an outstanding event with a unique Scottish twist.
