Suki Basi

Suki is the managing and founder director of Russell Group since 1994. In this role he is responsible for setting company strategy, building core competencies and ensuring business development, as well as managing business growth and value. He has had project experience in a variety of insurance and reinsurance lines namely, long-tail (asbestos, health hazard and pollution) reserving, aviation, space, offshore energy, marine hull and financial institutions and casualty.

Previously, Suki worked for Oracle Corporation from 1989 to 1994, where he worked in project management, consulting and pre-sales across a number of industries including defence, energy, finance and healthcare both in the UK and USA.

Suki has a BSc (Hons) in Aeronautics from Manchester University, and after graduating in 1986 held a post-graduate mathematical modelling research post at Nottingham University which was sponsored by Rolls-Royce until 1989.
