Ronald Kargl

I was born in Graz, Austria, have studied Business Administration in my home town, as well as in Zurich, Switzerland.

In 1992 my insurance and reinsurance career began as an aviation underwriter at Frankona Reinsurance (part of GE Insurance Solutions).

In 2002 I have moved on to Munich Re holding various different positions in the strategy and M&A unit as well as a SVP Energy at Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection & Insurance company, CT, USA.

In 2014 I took over the responsibility for Munich Re’s international marine underwriting area focusing on Europe, Latam, Middle East and the APAC region.

Beside Munich we are operating with 3 international underwriting hubs in Sao Paolo, Johannesburg and Singapore.
