Pen Hadow
Arctic Ocean explorer and conservationist, Pen Hadow, is Executive Director of the 90 North Foundation which is dedicated to protecting the Central Arctic Ocean’s biodiversity, now threatened by rapid habitat changes and future commercial vessel activity.
The Foundation is focused on establishing ‚Particularly Sensitive Sea Area‘ and ‚An Area To Be Avoided‘ status through the UN IMO for the international waters of the Central Arctic Ocean.
Pen has led a series of polar marine research programmes and has undertaken pioneering endeavours in the North Pole region over 30 years, including the only solo journey (no resupplies) made from Canada to the North Geographic Pole.
